Maxwell House Coffee Can And Switch Plate

Tin Can Sally

is recycled tin artist, Sarah Kilvert. I operate out of my studio in southern Maine. After many years of creating 3D pop art for an internationally known New York artist, I moved to Maine from New York in 2001. Having an interest in metal sculpture and a BFA from Manhattanville College, where I studied three-dimensional design, I combined my art with my interest in old tin and created

Where To Buy

Tin Can Sally

I search daily for old and new advertising tins - such as
Maxwell House Coffee,
Cracker Jack, Barnum's
Animal Crackers, Band Aid
and Tetley Tea (to name
a few). After carefully
studying the graphics on each
tin, I hand-cut and form each
switch plate individually, no
two are exactly alike and
some are only 1 or 2 of a
kind! They are available as
single, double and triple switch and outlet in a variety of sizes
made to suit each tin's
unique art and text.

THE SWITCH PLATES ARE MADE FROM
VERY OLD TINS (VINTAGE) OR NEWER TINS (RECYCLED)

VINTAGE TIN single, double and triple switch plates and outlet covers
are made from tins 31 years and older. They are harder to find and often distressed. These switch plates are perfect for older homes
or homes with antique decor. These are marked
VINTAGE.

RECYCLED TIN single, double and triple switch plates and outlet covers
are made from tins dated 1980 to present. They have less surface
wear and look great in both newer and older homes! We call them RECYCLED because we keep them out of the landfills!

LIMITED EDITIONS switch plates or outlet covers are made
from tins or pans that are extremely hard to find.
These are signed and numbered by the artist.
